Instructions
- Whisk together barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and water in a bowl.
- Pat chicken breasts dry, season with salt and pepper, and brown in melted butter in a skillet.
- Pour the barbecue sauce mixture over the browned chicken, cover, and simmer until cooked through.
- While the chicken cooks, mix coleslaw ingredients in a bowl and adjust seasoning to taste.
- Once chicken is done, shred it and return it to the sauce to coat.
- Toast the buns under the broiler until lightly browned.
- Assemble the sandwiches by spreading mayonnaise on the buns, adding shredded chicken, and topping with coleslaw.
