Homemade Applesauce

Ingredients

The apples

  • 12 medium apples, peeled, cored and sliced

The spice

  • 1 stick cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Place the apples and cinnamon stick in a large Pyrex bowl with a lid.
  2. Bake covered at 325°F for 1½ hours.
  3. Allow to cool slightly, then crush the apples with a potato masher until the desired consistency is reached.
  4. Serve alone, over latkes, or on top of a bowl of yogurt.
