Black Eyed Pea Soup

crushed tomatoes

non-dairy milk
Seasonings and oils

olive oil

Italian seasoning

chia seeds (optional)

ground black pepper
Instructions
- Cook black eyed peas according to package directions.
- In a large pot, combine the rest of the ingredients and cook over low-medium heat, stirring well.
- Once the peas are nearly done, rinse and drain them, then add to the soup.
- Cook on low for an additional 20 minutes.
- Serve and optionally sprinkle with sesame seeds or another seed of your choice.
