Cream Cheese-Stuffed Lemon French Toast with Strawberries

Instructions
- Slice the croissants in half lengthwise and set aside.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, zest and juice of one lemon, and ¾ cup powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on the bottom halves of the croissants and press the tops down.
- Arrange the croissants in a greased 9x13 inch pan.
- In another bowl, whisk together milk, eggs, lemon extract, zest of the second lemon, and remaining ½ cup powdered sugar.
- Pour the egg mixture over the croissants and cover with foil, refrigerating overnight for 8-10 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and bake the covered pan for 30 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 20-30 minutes until golden brown.
- Let stand for 5-10 minutes, then cut into squares and serve with strawberry sauce, fresh strawberries, and whipped cream.
