Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 225°F if you want to keep the French toast warm.
- Prepare the cream cheese filling by mixing cream cheese, jam, vanilla, and salt.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture on one side of each slice of bread.
- Layer sliced strawberries and bananas on top of half the slices and cover with the remaining slices to form sandwiches.
- Whisk together eggs, milk, cinnamon, and vanilla in a shallow dish.
- Heat a non-stick skillet or griddle over medium-low heat and add butter or nonstick spray.
- Dip each sandwich in the egg mixture, ensuring it's well-coated.
- Cook the sandwiches for 8 to 10 minutes, flipping halfway, until golden and cooked through.
- Serve hot with maple syrup, fresh fruit, and whipped cream.
