Ingredients

Blackberry Simple Syrup

  • 6 oz fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup water
  • ¾ cup sugar

Blackberry Juice

  • 6 oz fresh blackberries
  • 4 sprigs fresh thyme
  • 1 cup water

Thyme Blackberry Margarita

  • 1 cup grand marnier
  • 1 cup blackberry simple syrup
  • 2 cups tequila
  • cups fresh lime juice
  • cups blackberry juice
  • to taste extra fresh thyme leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the blackberry simple syrup by boiling blackberries, water, and sugar, then simmer and strain the mixture.
  2. For the blackberry juice, blend blackberries and thyme, add water, and strain to extract the juice.
  3. In a pitcher, combine grand marnier, blackberry simple syrup, tequila, fresh lime juice, and blackberry juice, then stir.
  4. Serve the mixture over ice and garnish with fresh thyme leaves.
