Best Yorkshire Puddings

Ingredients

The batter

  • 140 g plain flour
  • 4 large eggs
  • 200 ml milk

For cooking

  • as needed ml sunflower oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 230°C (fan 210°C or gas mark 8).
  2. Drizzle sunflower oil into Yorkshire pudding tins and place them in the oven to heat.
  3. In a bowl, mix the plain flour and eggs until smooth.
  4. Gradually add milk while continuing to beat until the batter is lump-free. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Carefully pour the batter into the hot tins.
  6. Return the tins to the oven and bake undisturbed for 20-25 minutes until puffed and browned.
  7. Serve immediately or cool and freeze for later use.
