Instructions
- 1. Boil salted water in a large pot and cook the spaghetti until al dente, reserving 1 cup of pasta water before draining.
- 2. In a skillet, melt the butter over medium heat until foaming, then reduce heat and add lemon zest and minced garlic, cooking until fragrant.
- 3. Transfer the cooked spaghetti to the skillet, adding ½ cup of reserved pasta water, and toss to create a light sauce.
- 4. Mix in half of the Parmesan cheese, then add lemon juice and remaining cheese, tossing until smooth.
- 5. Adjust consistency with more pasta water if needed, and season with salt, pepper, and additional lemon juice to taste.
- 6. Garnish with extra lemon zest and fresh herbs before serving.
