Ingredients

The topping

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ½ cup light brown sugar
  • ½ cup walnuts, finely chopped
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ½ cup butter, melted

The filling

  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • teaspoon salt
  • 6 medium peaches, peeled, halved, cored, and sliced
  • optional vanilla ice cream

Instructions

  1. Prepare the topping by mixing flour, oats, brown sugar, walnuts, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl. Drizzle melted butter over the mixture, toss to combine, cover, and refrigerate.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F and coat a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray or butter.
  3. In a large bowl, whisk together sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Add peach slices and toss to coat.
  4. Pour the peach mixture into the prepared baking dish and sprinkle with the topping.
  5. Bake for 50 to 60 minutes until the juices are bubbling and the topping is golden brown. Cool for 15 minutes before serving.
