Ingredients

  • 1 box German chocolate cake mix
  • cup butter, room temperature
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 tub Coconut-pecan frosting
  • ¼ cup milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Lightly grease a 9x13-inch pan.
  3. In a large bowl, cut the butter into the cake mix until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Press half of the mixture into the prepared pan and bake for 10 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot crust and drop frosting by tablespoonfuls over the chocolate chips.
  6. Mix the remaining cake mix and butter mixture with the milk and stir to combine.
  7. Drop this batter by teaspoonfuls over the frosting.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes.
  9. Cool completely, cut into squares, and refrigerate until served.
