Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F and prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, spices, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- Cut the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs, then stir in the white chocolate chips.
- In a separate bowl, mix the buttermilk, pumpkin, and vanilla, then combine with the dry ingredients until just mixed.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface, knead gently, and shape into a 7-inch round about 1½ inches thick.
- Cut the dough into wedges and place them on the baking sheet, brushing the tops with cream and sprinkling with sugar.
- Bake for about 20 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool on a wire rack and drizzle with the spice glaze made from powdered sugar, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg, and milk.
