Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- 2. Place the bread in a buttered 8 x 10 inch baking dish or individual ramequins.
- 3. Add the chocolate chips on top of the bread.
- 4. Whisk the eggs, then add salt, melted butter, sugar, and vanilla.
- 5. Gradually add warm milk to the egg mixture to avoid cooking the eggs.
- 6. Pour the egg mixture over the bread and sprinkle with nutmeg.
- 7. Bake until the center is set, about 45 to 60 minutes.
