Cajun Parmesan Salmon

Ingredients

The salmon

  • 4 filets salmon
  • to taste salt
  • to taste pepper

The cooking oil

  • 2 tbsp avocado oil

The flavorings

  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tsp cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. 1. Pat the salmon dry and season with salt and pepper.
  2. 2. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add the avocado oil.
  3. 3. Place the salmon skin side up in the skillet and cook for 5 minutes on each side.
  4. 4. Once cooked, remove the salmon and set aside.
  5. 5. Discard the remaining liquid from the pan and return it to the stove.
  6. 6. Turn the heat to medium and whisk in lemon juice, butter, garlic, cajun seasoning, honey, parmesan cheese, and parsley.
  7. 7. Let the sauce reduce for a few minutes until thickened, then add the salmon back in and cook for 2 minutes on each side, basting with the sauce.
  8. 8. Serve over rice and with veggies.
