Ingredients

The shake

  • 1 cup frozen sweet cherries
  • ¾ cup standard-size ice cubes
  • ¾-1 cup dairy-free milk
  • 1-2 scoops chocolate protein powder
  • 1-3 tsp cocoa powder

Optional add-ins

  • 1 small handful baby spinach
  • 1 Tbsp cashew butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • 1-2 tsp maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Add the cherries, ice, dairy-free milk, protein powder, and cocoa powder to a blender.
  2. Optionally, include baby spinach, cashew butter, and vanilla extract.
  3. If using unsweetened protein powder, add maple syrup to taste.
  4. Blend on high speed until thick and smooth, adjusting the consistency with more dairy-free milk if necessary.
  5. Taste and adjust the sweetness or cocoa powder as desired.
  6. Serve immediately for the best texture and flavor or freeze for later use.
