Spicy Honey-Glazed Chicken

Ingredients

The chicken

  • 5-6 pieces chicken thighs
  • to taste salt
  • to taste ground black pepper

The glaze

  • ¼ cup low-sodium chicken broth
  • ¼ cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons whole-grain mustard
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Italian parsley, chopped
  • ½ teaspoon red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Mix all the glaze ingredients together and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper.
  3. Heat a skillet and pan-fry the chicken thighs skin side down until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Flip the chicken and continue cooking until both sides are browned and cooked through.
  5. Remove the chicken from the skillet and discard the excess fat.
  6. Heat the glaze in the skillet over low heat, reducing it slightly.
  7. Add the chicken thighs back into the skillet and simmer until the glaze coats the chicken.
  8. Check the chicken for doneness and serve immediately.
