Ingredients

The chicken

  • 20 oz organic chicken thighs
  • to taste none Salt
  • to taste none Ground black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley
  • as needed none Lemon slices, for garnishing

The sauce

  • 4 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Apple Cider Vinegar
  • cup chicken broth
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. 1. Season the chicken thighs with salt and pepper on both sides.
  2. 2. In a bowl, whisk together all sauce ingredients until well mixed.
  3. 3. Heat a skillet and pan-fry the chicken thighs skin side down until golden brown.
  4. 4. Turn the chicken over and continue cooking until the other side is browned.
  5. 5. Remove chicken and discard excess fat from the skillet.
  6. 6. Add butter to the skillet and melt until light brown, then sauté garlic briefly.
  7. 7. Return chicken to the skillet and add the sauce.
  8. 8. Simmer on low heat until the sauce thickens and the chicken is cooked through.
  9. 9. Garnish with parsley and lemon slices before serving.
