Ingredients

The chicken

  • lbs bone-in skin-on chicken thighs
  • to taste salt
  • to taste ground black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, chopped

The sauce

  • ¾ cup chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • 3 dashes cayenne pepper
  • ¼ teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Rinse and pat dry the chicken thighs, then season with salt and pepper.
  2. Mix all sauce ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
  3. Pan-fry the chicken thighs in a skillet until golden brown and crispy, then remove excess oil.
  4. Add olive oil to the skillet and sauté the garlic until softened.
  5. Return the chicken to the skillet, add the sauce, cover, and simmer for about 3 minutes.
  6. Turn the chicken to coat with the sauce, garnish with parsley, and serve.
