Instructions
- Pat the chicken dry and season with salt, pepper, and smoked paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and sear the chicken until browned and cooked through, about 5 to 7 minutes per side.
- Remove chicken from the pan, cover with foil to keep warm, and set aside.
- Reduce heat to low, melt butter in the pan, and sauté the sliced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant, avoiding browning.
- Add broth and wine to the pan, scraping the bottom to de-glaze, and add the bay leaf.
- Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat and simmer until the liquid is reduced by half, about 10 minutes.
- Reduce heat to low, add cream, and heat until warm, without boiling.
- Remove bay leaf, return chicken to the pan, and spoon the creamy garlic sauce over it.
