Cozy Homemade Peppermint Mocha

Instructions
- Boil the water and dissolve the sugar, then steep the mint or peppermint extract for 10-15 minutes.
- Remove mint leaves and store the syrup in the refrigerator.
- Heat the milk and unsweetened chocolate until melted.
- Shake the milk mixture in a jar until foamy.
- Pour the milk mixture into a mug, stir in the coffee and mint syrup, and top with whipped cream and crushed candy canes.
