Easy Pear Butter

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs ripe pears, peeled, cored and diced
  • 3 Tbsp honey
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • pinch ground nutmeg
  • pinch ground cloves

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  2. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for about 50 minutes, stirring occasionally and keeping the lid slightly open.
  3. Once the mixture has thickened, remove from heat and transfer to a food processor to blend until smooth, or leave it chunky if preferred.
  4. Transfer the pear butter to canning jars or a heat-proof container, seal, and refrigerate until ready to use.
