Spiced Pear Simple Syrup

Instructions
- Core and cut the pears into 1" pieces.
- Combine water, chopped pears, sugar, and cinnamon sticks in a saucepan over medium heat and stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for about 20 minutes.
- Strain the syrup through a fine mesh strainer into a measuring cup, discarding the solids.
- Strain again into a sealed glass jar and refrigerate.
