Cranberry Poached Pears

The poaching liquid

Instructions
- Rehydrate the cranberries in boiling water for 15 minutes.
- Peel the pears and place them in a snug saucepan.
- Add the remaining ingredients and the cranberries to the saucepan.
- Cover the pears with water and bring to a boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10-15 minutes until the pears are tender.
- Remove the pears and place them in serving bowls.
- Reduce the poaching liquid over high heat for 5-10 minutes until thickened.
- Cool the sauce and pears, then serve garnished with cinnamon sticks, optionally with whipped cream or yogurt.
