Honey-Orange Pork Tenderloin

Ingredients

The sauce

  • cup orange marmalade
  • 3 tablespoons cider vinegar
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • tablespoons minced garlic
  • teaspoons honey

The pork

  • 1 pound pork tenderloin
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable or olive oil
  • to taste kosher salt
  • to taste black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. Whisk together the orange marmalade, cider vinegar, soy sauce, minced garlic, and honey in a bowl. Reserve 2 tablespoons of the sauce.
  3. Heat the oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Season the pork tenderloin with salt and pepper, then sear it in the hot oil for 1-2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  5. Remove the skillet from heat, drain excess oil, and pour about half of the sauce over the pork.
  6. Place the skillet in the oven and cook for 10 minutes.
  7. Remove the skillet from the oven, flip the tenderloin, and pour the remaining sauce over it (except for the reserved 2 tablespoons).
  8. Return the skillet to the oven and cook for another 10 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 155°F.
  9. Let the pork stand for 10 minutes, then drizzle with the reserved sauce and slice.
