Bourbon Glazed Salmon

Ingredients

  • 1 2-pound side of salmon
  • ½ cup bourbon
  • 2 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • ½ teaspoon apple cider vinegar
  • ¾ teaspoon kosher salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • optional chopped green onions

Instructions

  1. Combine the bourbon, maple syrup, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and apple cider vinegar in a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  2. Simmer the mixture while stirring until it thickens and reduces by about half, then remove from heat.
  3. Preheat the oven to 375°F and prepare a baking dish with parchment paper and foil.
  4. Place the salmon on the foil, season with salt and pepper, and brush the glaze over the top.
  5. Fold the foil over the salmon to create a sealed packet and bake for 15 to 18 minutes.
  6. Open the foil packet and broil the salmon for an additional 3 to 4 minutes until cooked through.
  7. Let the salmon rest briefly, then cut into portions and serve with green onions if desired.
