Maple Bourbon Glazed Salmon

The salmon

salmon (3 to 4 filets)

Instructions
- Whisk together the maple syrup, coconut sugar, bourbon, orange juice, ginger, and optional nutmeg in a saucepan and bring to a light boil.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 20 to 30 minutes until the glaze thickens.
- Preheat the broiler and prepare a baking sheet with aluminum foil and a broiler pan.
- Place the salmon filets on the broiler pan, season with salt and pepper, and brush with a small amount of glaze.
- Broil the salmon for 2 to 3 minutes, then remove from the oven.
- Brush each filet with additional glaze and return to the oven at 400°F for 5 to 7 minutes until cooked through.
- While the salmon bakes, add nuts to the glaze and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve the salmon topped with the thickened pecan maple glaze.
