Ingredients

The base

  • 1 cup Pitted Dates
  • ½ cup Natural Peanut Butter
  • cups Rolled Old Fashioned Oats
  • ½ cup Sunflower Seeds
  • ½ cup Almonds
  • ¼ cup Chia Seeds
  • cup Golden Raisins or Dried Cranberries

For drizzling

  • to taste Melted Dark Chocolate

Instructions

  1. Boil about 2 cups of water and soak the pitted dates until softened.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F and toast the oats, sunflower seeds, and nuts on a baking sheet for 10-12 minutes until slightly golden.
  3. In a food processor, combine the softened dates and peanut butter until well mixed.
  4. In a large bowl, mix the date mixture with the oats, nuts, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, and cranberries or raisins.
  5. Press the mixture into an 8x8 pan lined with parchment paper and refrigerate overnight to set.
  6. The next day, melt the chocolate in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between.
  7. Remove the bars from the pan, cut into 10 squares, and drizzle melted chocolate over each bar.
  8. Optionally, sprinkle with sea salt.
