Ingredients

The base

  • 2 bananas peeled and frozen overnight
  • as needed non-dairy milk

Optional Mix-Ins (Before Blending)

  • to taste cocoa powder for chocolate flavor
  • to taste vanilla bean paste or extract for vanilla flavor
  • 1 tbsp almond butter or tahini per banana
  • 1 tbsp coconut cream per banana
  • to taste frozen fruits such as strawberries or blueberries

Optional Mix-Ins (After Blending)

  • to taste fresh fruits cut into chunks
  • to taste chocolate chips
  • to taste almonds or other nuts

Instructions

  1. Start with frozen bananas, peel and freeze them overnight.
  2. Break the bananas into 3-4 chunks for easier blending.
  3. Add any optional mix-ins before blending.
  4. Blend the bananas until creamy, scraping down the sides as needed.
  5. If the mixture is too dry, add a splash of non-dairy milk.
  6. Add any additional mix-ins after blending and fold them in.
  7. Freeze the nice cream for 1-2 hours for a firmer texture.
  8. Let it soften at room temperature for easier scooping before serving.
