Instructions
- Prepare the dough by mixing eggs, lukewarm water, yeast, salt, honey, and melted butter in a bowl.
- Add flour without kneading and mix until combined, then cover and let rise for 2 hours.
- For the cream cheese filling, mix cream cheese, lemon zest, and sugar until smooth.
- Dust refrigerated dough with flour, divide in half, and roll out each piece into a rectangle.
- Place cream cheese filling and jam in the center of the dough, then cut strips along the sides.
- Twist and fold the strips over the filling to create a braid, then repeat with the second loaf.
- Let the braided loaves rest for 60 minutes, then preheat the oven to 350°F.
- Brush the braids with egg wash and bake for 30 to 35 minutes until golden brown.
- Mix powdered sugar and cream to make the glaze, then drizzle over the cooled loaves.
