Ingredients

Chocolate Date Sauce

  • 1 can (15-oz) full-fat coconut milk
  • 6 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • ½ cup pitted Medjool dates
  • ½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • pinch pink Himalayan sea salt

Banana Split

  • 1 large banana, sliced in half lengthwise
  • 2 small scoops vegan ice cream
  • to taste Strawberry Chia Seed Jam
  • to taste toasted sliced almonds
  • to taste non-dairy chocolate chips or raw cacao nibs
  • to taste coconut whipped cream
  • to taste all-natural sprinkles
  • to taste all-natural maraschino cherries or fresh pitted cherries
  • to taste Ultimate Nutty Granola Clusters

Instructions

  1. Soak the pitted dates in water for 30 minutes until soft, then drain.
  2. Blend all chocolate date sauce ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth.
  3. Refrigerate the chocolate date sauce until ready to use.
  4. Prepare your desired toppings for the banana split.
  5. Place the sliced banana in a bowl.
  6. Add scoops of vegan ice cream and a dollop of coconut whipped cream.
  7. Top with the chocolate date sauce and other desired toppings.
  8. Enjoy immediately.
