Ingredients

  • ¾ cup Water
  • ¼ cup Tamari Soy Sauce (or coconut aminos)
  • cup Allulose Monk Fruit Sweetener (or your favorite keto sweetener)
  • 2 tablespoon Dry Sherry (or 1 ½ tablespoon rice wine vinegar)
  • 4 teaspoon Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 teaspoon Arrowroot powder (or ½ teaspoon xanthan gum)

Instructions

  1. Decide whether to use xanthan gum or arrowroot powder for thickening.
  2. Combine the first five ingredients in a small pot over medium-high heat and bring to a boil.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low or low and simmer for 5 minutes, whisking well.
  4. If using arrowroot, add the slurry and simmer for 1 more minute. If using xanthan gum, ensure it is mixed with the sweetener before adding.
  5. Taste the sauce and adjust sweetness as needed.
  6. Strain the sauce if desired, or leave it unstrained if using as a marinade.
  7. Cool the sauce before using.
