Ingredients

The mushrooms and marinade

  • 4 pieces portobello mushrooms
  • cups sauce marinade of choice
  • to taste none drizzle of oil for grilling/baking (optional)

Serving suggestions

  • to taste none burger buns
  • to taste none lettuce
  • to taste none tomatoes
  • to taste none ketchup
  • to taste none mustard
  • to taste none mayo
  • to taste none extra sauce
  • to taste none pickles

Instructions

  1. Marinate the mushrooms overnight for optimal flavor.
  2. Clean the mushrooms by removing the stem and scraping out the gills.
  3. Brush the mushrooms with the marinade and allow to marinate.
  4. If baking, place in a baking dish and bake at 350°F for about 15 minutes on each side.
  5. If grilling, cook on a hot grill pan for 3-5 minutes on each side until browned.
  6. Serve with toppings of your choice.
