Vegan Turmeric Ginger Chia Tonic

Ingredients

  • 1 bulb ginger
  • 1 juice lime
  • 1 tbsp turmeric powder
  • 1 apple quartered
  • 7 carrots roughly chopped
  • 740 ml filtered water
  • 2 tbsp chia seeds
  • 1 cup soda water
  • 1 oz alcohol (optional)
  • dash maple syrup

Instructions

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth, which may take up to 2 minutes.
  2. Check the consistency; it should not be grainy.
  3. Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth or nut milk bag, saving the pulp for smoothies.
  4. Add chia seeds to the base of your storage bottle.
  5. If using alcohol, mix it with soda and juice, then add ice.
