The Sweet Potato Topping

sweet potatoes, peeled and cubed (~6 cups cubed)

butter (may substitute ghee or coconut oil for Whole30)

chili powder

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F.
- Cook the diced sweet potatoes in boiling water until tender, about 15 minutes, or bake until fork tender for 45 to 60 minutes.
- In a skillet, sauté the ground beef, carrots, green pepper, onion, mushrooms, and garlic until the carrots are soft, about 12-15 minutes.
- Blend the cooked sweet potatoes with the topping ingredients until smooth.
- Stir the tomato paste, chili powder, rosemary, salt, black pepper, and water into the meat filling.
- Top the meat filling with the sweet potato mash and sprinkle with sea salt and chili powder.
- Bake for 10 minutes, then serve.
