Instructions
- Prepare the mashed sweet potatoes by boiling them until soft, then drain and mash with butter, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil and sauté onions until translucent.
- Add garlic and Italian seasoning, cooking for an additional minute.
- Brown the ground beef in the skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper.
- Stir in carrots, beef broth, and tomato paste, simmering until the beef is fully cooked.
- Add peas and cook for another 2 minutes, adjusting seasonings if necessary.
- Spread the meat mixture in a baking dish and top with the mashed sweet potatoes.
- Bake for 15 minutes or until the edges are golden.
- Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
