Pinoy Pork Skewers

The marinade

banana sauce (or regular ketchup)
The skewers
Instructions
- Soak bamboo skewers in water for at least 30 minutes.
- Cut pork into ½ inch thick x 1 inch wide x 1 ½ inch long pieces.
- Slide pork onto skewers and set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine soy sauce, garlic, onion, juice of 2 lemons, 7UP, ground black pepper, dark brown sugar, and ketchup, mixing well.
- Pour the marinade over the pork, cover, and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Grill the skewers on direct heat until the pork is cooked, flipping as necessary for char marks.
