Filipino Chicken Skewers

Ingredients

The chicken

  • 12 oz boneless and skinless chicken breasts, cut into cubes

The marinade

  • ¾ tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sweet soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon banana ketchup
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 inch ginger, minced
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 3 dashes ground black pepper
  • ½ tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons Pompeian Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Soak the bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes.
  2. Marinate the chicken in soy sauce, sweet soy sauce, banana ketchup, garlic, ginger, salt, pepper, and lemon juice for 30 minutes.
  3. Thread the marinated chicken onto the bamboo skewers.
  4. Preheat an outdoor grill and grill the chicken skewers, brushing with olive oil while cooking.
  5. Turn the skewers to grill both sides until slightly charred.
  6. Serve immediately for the best flavor.
