Instructions
- Prepare the cherry syrup by pitting the cherries and combining them with orange juice and maple syrup in a saucepan.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Mash the cherries and continue simmering for another 5 minutes.
- Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer to extract the juice, reserving the pulp.
- For each serving, fill a glass with ice, add lime juice and sparkling water, then mix in the cherry syrup to taste.
- Serve immediately, optionally garnished with lime slices and cherries.
