Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat.
- Add ground beef, onion, and a pinch of salt and pepper, cooking until the beef is browned.
- Stir in green pepper, Italian seasoning, garlic, brown sugar, and tomato paste, cooking for 3-4 minutes until the peppers are tender.
- Add tomato sauce and beef broth, cover, and cook for 25 minutes over low heat.
- Uncover and stir in cooked rice, cooking for an additional 10 minutes.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste, and serve hot.
