Ingredients

Carrot Juice

  • 2 cups carrots
  • 1 ½ cups filtered water

Smoothie

  • 1 large ripe banana (previously peeled, sliced and frozen)
  • 1 cup frozen or fresh pineapple
  • ½ Tbsp fresh ginger (peeled)
  • ¼ tsp ground turmeric (or sub cinnamon)
  • ½ cup carrot juice
  • 1 Tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 cup unsweetened almond milk

Instructions

  1. Make carrot juice by blending carrots and filtered water until smooth.
  2. Strain the juice using a dish towel over a bowl to extract the liquid.
  3. Transfer the carrot juice to a mason jar and set aside.
  4. Add the smoothie ingredients to the blender and blend until creamy.
  5. Adjust flavors as needed by adding more banana, pineapple, lemon, ginger, or turmeric.
  6. Divide the smoothie between two glasses and serve immediately.
