Ingredients

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thighs, or legs
  • 1 cup fresh basil leaves, tightly packed
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil or olive oil
  • ½ lemon juice of
  • 1 clove garlic
  • ½ – 1 teaspoon fine salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper or red pepper flakes

Instructions

  1. Place chicken in a large bowl or zip-top bag.
  2. In a food processor, combine basil, oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and pepper; process until smooth.
  3. Pour the marinade over the chicken, cover, and toss to coat evenly.
  4. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours or up to 2-3 days, or freeze for up to 2 months.
