Ingredients

The steak

  • 1 lb. beef sirloin steak
  • to taste fine salt and black pepper

The dressing

  • 3 tablespoons fresh lime juice
  • 3 tablespoons avocado oil or olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 2 teaspoons coconut aminos
  • ½–1 teaspoon chili-garlic sauce
  • ½ teaspoon fish sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon fine salt

The salad

  • 5 ounces salad greens of choice
  • 1 each English cucumber
  • 1 pint cherry tomatoes
  • 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
  • 1 package fresh mint leaves
  • 1 medium shallot
  • 2 each green onions
  • ¼ cup dry roasted salted peanuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. Pat the steaks dry and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix the dressing ingredients together and set aside.
  4. Grill the steaks for 5-6 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 4-5 minutes until desired doneness.
  5. Let the steaks rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
  6. Combine salad ingredients in a large bowl and toss gently.
  7. Divide the salad onto plates, top with sliced steak, drizzle with dressing, and sprinkle with peanuts before serving.
