Instructions
- Cut the bread into 2-inch square pieces and place them in a 9x13 inch pan.
- In a medium bowl, beat the eggs and mix in the milk, maple syrup, and vanilla.
- Pour the egg mixture over the bread and ensure all pieces are soaked.
- Press half of the apple chunks into the bread mixture and place the remaining apples on top, sprinkling with cinnamon.
- Cover the dish with foil and refrigerate overnight.
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit in the morning.
- Bake the casserole covered for about 30 minutes, then check if it's set.
- If necessary, bake uncovered for an additional 5 minutes until set.
- Serve warm with maple syrup.
