The royal icing

Instructions
- 1. Combine the dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl.
- 2. In a separate bowl, whisk the egg, softened butter, and vanilla extract, then fold in the dry ingredients.
- 3. Knead the dough into a ball, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 45 minutes.
- 4. Preheat the oven to 180C/350F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 5. Roll out the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and cut out cookies.
- 6. Bake for 12-15 minutes until the edges are brown, then cool before icing.
- 7. For the icing, whisk together egg white and lemon juice, then fold in powdered sugar until thick.
