Instructions
- Make the Huli Huli sauce by mixing the ketchup, soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, salt, and sesame oil in a bowl.
- Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and ensure they are fully coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 10 minutes or up to 24 hours.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. Reserve ½ cup of the marinade for basting, then drain excess marinade from the chicken.
- Grill the chicken for 2-3 minutes per side until golden, basting with the reserved marinade until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F.
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
