Garlic Butter Mahi Mahi

Ingredients

The fish

  • 4 fillets mahi-mahi
  • 2 small lemons
  • to taste salt
  • to taste ground black pepper

The sauce

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Squeeze the juice from one lemon into a bowl and slice the other lemon into thin rounds.
  2. Rinse and pat dry the mahi-mahi fillets, then season both sides with salt and black pepper.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and add the mahi-mahi fillets, cooking for 5 minutes on each side until golden brown.
  4. Remove the fillets from the skillet and let them rest on a plate.
  5. In the same skillet, add lemon juice, garlic, and a pinch of salt, stirring until aromatic.
  6. Add lemon slices and butter to the skillet, stirring until the butter melts.
  7. Return the mahi-mahi fillets to the skillet and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, spooning the sauce over them.
  8. Serve immediately, garnished with chopped fresh parsley.
