Paleo Fish Tacos and Coleslaw

Ingredients

The tortillas

  • 1 package Siete tortillas

The coleslaw

  • 2 cups shredded cabbage
  • 1 unit lime (juice)
  • 1 tbsp avocado oil
  • ½ unit avocado (cubed)
  • to taste salt and pepper

The fish tacos

  • 1 lb flaky white fish (cod or halibut)
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ¼ tsp cayenne
  • ¼ tsp cumin
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • 2 tbsp grass-fed butter or ghee

Instructions

  1. Mix the seasonings for the fish in a small bowl.
  2. Marinate the fish in a ziplock bag with the seasoning mix for at least one hour.
  3. Prepare the coleslaw by mixing all its ingredients in a bowl until the avocado is mostly chunky.
  4. Heat butter or ghee in a skillet over medium heat.
  5. Cook the marinated fish in the skillet for 2-4 minutes on each side until flaky.
  6. Warm the tortillas in a separate skillet just before the fish is done.
  7. Assemble the tacos by layering fish and coleslaw on the tortillas, and add any desired toppings.
