Ingredients

The chili

  • 1 lb. Lean Ground Beef
  • ½ cup Onion, minced
  • 8 oz. Canned Tomato Sauce
  • ½ cup Water
  • 2 tbsp. Chili Powder
  • 2 tsp. Cumin
  • tsp. Cayenne (optional)
  • 2 tsp. Honey
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

The hot dogs and buns

  • 8 Nitrate Free All Beef Hot Dogs
  • 8 Top Split Hot Dog Buns

Instructions

  1. 1. For the Instant Pot, sauté the onion and ground beef until browned and onions are translucent.
  2. 2. Season with salt and pepper, then add chili powder, cumin, cayenne, tomato sauce, water, and honey.
  3. 3. Seal the Instant Pot and cook on Manual/High Pressure for 7 minutes, then quick release the steam.
  4. 4. For the slow cooker, brown the meat and onions on the stove first, then mix with other ingredients and cook on low for 4-5 hours.
  5. 5. For the stove top, brown the meat and onions, then add other ingredients and simmer for 1-2 hours.
  6. 6. Serve the chili on hot dogs with optional toppings like mustard, onion, cheese, or jalapenos.
