Guinness Pulled Pork

Ingredients

The seasoning

  • 1 Tbsp. smoked paprika
  • 2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
  • ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • ½ tsp. freshly-cracked black pepper

The pork

  • 4 lb. boneless pork butt or shoulder or loin

The vegetables

  • 1 large white onion, thinly sliced

The liquid

  • 1 (11.2) bottle Guinness extra-stout beer

Instructions

  1. Mix the smoked paprika, salt, crushed red pepper, garlic powder, and black pepper in a bowl.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the pork.
  3. Place the sliced onions at the bottom of the slow cooker.
  4. Put the pork on top of the onions and pour the Guinness over it.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 10-12 hours until the pork is tender and falls apart.
  6. Serve the pulled pork on sliders, tacos, or salads.
  7. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to four days or freeze.
