Instructions
- Sift the flour and baking powder together and set aside.
- Whisk the egg in a mixing bowl and add the vegetable oil, combining well.
- Fold the sifted flour into the egg mixture gently to avoid overmixing.
- Grease your hands with a little oil and shape about 1 tablespoon of dough into balls, making 8 balls total.
- Heat the oil to 150°C (300°F) over medium heat.
- Deep fry the dough balls slowly until they are golden brown and crispy on the outside.
- Remove the doughnuts from the oil and drain on kitchen paper.
