African Doughnut (Drop Doughnut)

For frying
Instructions
- Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Stir in milk, eggs, vanilla, and oil until smooth.
- Heat oil in a large saucepan to 375°F (190°C).
- Scoop batter and drop it into the hot oil, avoiding overcrowding.
- Fry until golden brown on one side, then flip and fry the other side.
- Remove from oil and drain on napkins.
- Optionally, roll in sugar or sprinkle with powdered sugar.
